Directions

Since it’s a speakeasy-style bar, both the way there and the entrance felt a bit secretive. 😊
For reference, there’s no visible sign or anything like that, so finding your way might be a bit tricky.

Even in front of the elevator, the store name isn’t displayed.

If you follow the arrow written on that piece of cardboard

You'll see the familiar pattern of "Sookhee" appear.

When you open the hidden entrance, the door opens just like this!
I’ve tried quite a variety of drinks at Sookhee so far, so let me introduce them by type!

Liquor

"사과모어 Sagwamore" is a cocktail that includes apple, Sagamore rye, lemon, apple pie, cinnamon sugar, and misutgaru (Korean grain powder).

"사과 Sagwa" means "apple" in English.

It’s a cocktail where the sweet apple scent and the subtle cinnamon aroma harmonized beautifully.

"식혜 Sikhye" It’s a cocktail made with corn whiskey, sikhye (sweet rice drink), corn silk tea, and dried jujube.

It is a pleasantly sweet cocktail with a flavor reminiscent of sweet scorched rice candy, making it an easy and enjoyable drink to sip.

Maybe because of the corn whiskey and corn silk tea, it had a nutty and sweet flavor that was totally my style!

This is "Ramos Fizz" a cocktail that isn’t on the menu but was recommended by a friend who’s a regular at Myeongdong Sookhee.

At first, I didn’t even know its name and just showed a picture, but I was told it’s a cocktail that requires an immense amount of labor.

At first, I thought, "Labor? Really?" But to make this, the bartender had to shake it for a really long time.

Later, I found out that this cocktail is famous for taking 12 minutes to make. The person who originally created it even formed a team to take turns shaking it!

The result of all that shaking is that fluffy, cloud-like foam ☁️—it’s practically stacked like a tower!

The taste was like an upscale version of "Milkis." It had a slight soda-like feel but was smooth and sweet.

Summary

I wanted to keep this place to myself, but before I knew it, it became super popular.
With its unique interior, delicious food, and perfect drinks, there’s no way it wouldn’t become famous!
It was my hidden gem, but I also feel proud that everyone recognizes how special Sookhee is.
It’s truly a treasure-like bar in Myeongdong.
